The team is sponsored by the Division of Recreational Sports within the university. The team camaraderie built on the 40 acres is an experience second-to-none, and with the growing awareness of hockey both in Austin and the UT community, the program continues to expand each season.

Started 1997, the Texas A&M Ice Hockey program has been the winningest program in Texas College Hockey history. Between 2009 and 2012, the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Ice Hockey team made the ACHA Regional Playoffs 3 out of 4 seasons, the one exception being ranked #12. Most recently, the Aggies finished #16 in the West in the year 2015-2016. Yes, the future is bright for Ice Hockey at Texas A&M and appears to be yet another avenue for the “Building Champions” theme of the University.
